Have you ever felt like the world has gotten a little overshare happy? It definitely seems like everyone over the age of nine has an Instagram linked to a Twitter which happens to have over 100,000 followers. I mean, come on, how and why are these kids “famous”. Do they realize that in five or then years that can’t apply to college or a job under the title Instagram Famous?
Anyway, you get the idea, right?
With the amount of people sharing their lives growing everyday, it can make our small little lives feel insignificant. The pressure to fill our days with moments perfectly edited in a neat 4 by 4 square can overwhelm the soul. I’m feeling it. Are you? Even knowing that we only see the edited parts of people’s lives doesn’t make it any easier.
When I came across this quote on Pinterest shocker I know I felt like someone finally understood the pressure we put ourselves under. And honestly, that’s what it is, we do this to ourselves. Willingly.
I’ve said this over and over. We all have a story. We all have something to share. You’ll spend wasted years trying to be someone other than yourself. Enjoy your life now, because we aren’t guaranteed tomorrow.

I really love the second quote you posted. You never really know someone else struggle and why they do or don't praise. It really isn't fair of us to compare ourselves to them. It's like apples to mangos. And personally I'm allergic to the latter.
i love this! and i 100% agree; constantly comparing yourself to others to see how you "measure up" is exhausting and you lose focus on one important thing: YOU!

I completely agree! We all have a story--our lives are worth living and worth living well, even if it appears that comparatively, they affect very few people.
Love these quotes! Trust me, I get a lot of great advice on Pinterest ; ) I had one pin that said, "Comparison is the thief of joy." It feels so natural to do, but it doesn't make anything better in life. It helps so much instead to appreciate what you do have!
I really liked this post.I can related to it a lot! I always seem to be trying to "catch up" to my friends with their lives. It's crazy when you think about it since they don't live the same life as me!
