Life in May: Day Twenty Three

*Blogging everyday in May*

Share some things that school won't teach you.

I loved school. Probably a good thing, seeing as I spend everyday in school.
That being said, there are plenty of things that I didn't learn, wish I had learned, or have learned the hard way.

1.Book smarts will only get you so far. Personality is where it's at. As my uncle always said, "It's not what you know, but who you know." Sucking up to people is a-ok in my book. They call it networking!

2.Don't be lazy. Hard work never killed anyone.

3. It's totally normal to question major life decisions. I'm currently packing up to move to Texas without a job. I only know where I'm going to sleep. I guess that's where number one will come in handy. I'm nervous, stressed, anxious and every other adjective under the sun. Do I question myself? Heck yeah. Anyone have a job for me? Totally kidding. But not really.

4. Watch the news or read a paper every day. I know that the news reports are never sunshiny-life is great- let's have ice cream, but a little education won't hurt you. How can you change the world if you don't know what needs to be fixed?

5. Family is family. Blood is blood. Do I need to repeat myself?

6. Thanks to Dr. Seuss- A person's a person, no matter how small.

Be nice.

Moving to Texas? Yay! Where I live always seems to have teaching jobs available. It's the #2 place to live in the country, according to some ranking (I forgot). I used to teach here until I became a mom. Let me know and I can recommend some good schools/principals.

Can, I be the first one to welcome you to Texas. You will love it here. Wait, or maybe I'm just saying that cause I'm a born and bred Texan who doesn't want to live anywhere else.

Dr. Seuss ALWAYS has the best quotes

Love the Dr. Seuss quote, definitely a motto to live by. Good luck with your move! We've done it twice, it was difficult but it worked out for us both times!

#3... I'm currently drowning in number three.. minus moving to texas. Granted my friend is trying to convince me to do just that. I'm not counting this as fate.
