For the past year I’ve quietly been on a quest for better health. It’s not something that I have really talked about on the blog because I didn’t want to be “that” girl who made everyone else feel bad about themselves. Trust me I’ve been there!
I really don’t know what clicked in my head, but something inside me decided that I was tired of being the fat girl. Slowly but surely I’ve hacked away at the pounds and inches. In August, I saw a picture of my backside (That happened to be on Facebook, thatyouverymuch!) and I kicked it in to overdrive. It’s been slooooow going, friends. Not going to lie. This is, and will continue to be, the longest roller coaster ride of my life.
When the pounds on the scale don’t equal the work that I’ve put in, I turn to this quote from Fit Sugar.
As you continue to make changes and set goals, be sure to celebrate accomplishments beyond weight loss. There's so much more to living a healthy life than the number on the scale! When you feel more comfortable in your clothes or hit a new running milestone on the treadmill, give yourself a pat on the back. Trust the process, and have faith that all those changes that seemed small will result in big breakthroughs with time.
When you go from THIS to THIS you need to celebrate!
