Life in Understanding

I’ve been seeing this “If you really knew me” ditty floating around the internets this past week.

So here it goes.

If you really knew me:

*You’d be SHOCKED by my knowledge of rap music. I didn’t grow up with three brothers for nothing.

*I have an irrational fear of snakes. Well maybe not so irrational considering the danger I put myself into everyday just by living in Arizona. It’s bad folks, like I can’t even hold a picture book that contains a snake. I ask my students to hold it for me.

*I’ve always wanted to have  my own talk show. I think it would be fantastic!

*I tend to pick a catchphrase or word and overuse it. I get annoyed when someone unknowingly uses “my word”. Then I quite using it, immediately.

*I love to comment on other blogs. But sometimes, I start writing and then delete the comment because I don’t think the author will really care about what I have to say. This usually only happens when I don’t really know the person. On another note, I LOVE when people email after I leave a comment. Makes me feel all important and stuff and kinda like a big girl! Oh, and ps when does your blog become “big enough” that you find it unnecessary to respond back to your readers?Who made up that rule? Let’s all agree to not be “those people” mmkay?

*I have trouble sharing my faith with others, but have zero trouble sharing it with four and five year olds. Probably a good thing that I teach preschool.

*I’m still struggling with my grandma’s death from a little over a year ago. Some days are better than others, but I’m not afraid to talk about it.

*I talk to myself. More than socially acceptable.

*I have a mean competitive side.  I LIVE for game nights.

*I get jealous. Hardcore jealous.

*My love language is Words of Affirmation.

*I’m an introvert masquerading as an extrovert.

*If you’re my friend, you’re my friend for life. I still talk to my friends from elementary school.

*My closest is color coded.

I totally agree about becoming a blogger that can't reply to people's comments. Of course, i guess i can understand when you have 2000 something readers & comments - haha! Might be a lot to respond to!

Cute blog! :)

Ohmigosh, I LOVE that you know rap music. Me too. Ditto, pretty sure it was from my brother.

You would be awesome at your own talk show. I'd watch.

Always always always comment! People always love that. And always respond back to your readers, regardless of how big your blog is. You're awesome, just FYI.

If you want to talk about death and coping, I've had a boyfriend and a best friend die, so I've got your back.

I'm only competitive when it's Cranium. I kick ass in Humdinger!

By the looks of the your brothers, I STILL wouldn't believe that you are up on game with rap music =]

If Jenny Jones, Maury Povich, Jerry Springer, Ricki Lake (who's coming back, Montel Williams, Wendy Williams, and The Talk can all have talk shows...GIRL, Go 'Head!!!...I'm sure you're better than all of them put together...Blow 'em out the water.

Comment, Comment, and comment MORE times and not.

Talk about catchphrases/words mine are:
Boo on your life. Tomfoolery. Zero tolerance for tomfoolery. AMAZEballs. I CANNOT deal with this/you right now. Ever in life. De De De. Wackness...just to name a few.

Be Blessed, Rachel <3

Kids are definitely easier to talk to about that stuff; talking to peers is scary and intimidating!

I like some rap...shhhh.... ;)

Ooh, now I should go reply to the ladies who have commented on my blog. :)

Not sure if I've commented here, but I've read your blog everynow and then. Nice to meet ya!

Oh Rachel. Seriously. I need to roadtrip it down to Arizona soon. I miss you my friend.

Also my closet is color coded as well. And then by sleeve length. It drives my mother crazy. Which sorta makes me love it all the more. :)
