Life with House guests

Ah! I’m finally coming up for air after my parent’s visit.

It doesn’t help that I had to lead chapel this week, help make some PR stuff for summer camp, and other assorted duties!

I love when my parents come to town. We find some parts of Arizona that I would have never thought to visit. This time around we headed out to some local gems in the East Valley.

We fell head over heels for Joe’s Farm Grill in Gilbert! If you live anywhere in the Valley, RUN as fast as you can. This place has it all. Homegrown veggies right from the gardens, Arizona raised beef and fish, real ice cream shakes, and a quaint atmosphere.

Oh, it was also featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives if that means anything to you!

We went on a Sunday afternoon and there was already a line outside!

To quote my dad, “Is that the red stuff that was on my burger?”

There’s also a super cute coffee shop and farm stand on the property.

No trip to the farm would be complete without parrots hanging out in the trees.

Because where else would a parrot be?

The line was crazy on our way out!
