Life in the Craft Room

Charming Charlie is my favorite place to buy jewelry. A few weeks ago there was a buy one get one free on all their clearance items. Huge deals all over the place. I found an ugly necklace that I wanted to dress up a little. AKA, mutilate and turn into something cute and wearable!

You’ll need:

An ugly necklace

Ribbon

Wire clippers

Bracelet closures

Clip apart the chains.

Pick your ribbon and chain.

You’ll want your ribbon to be twice the size (or larger) of the necklace. Thread ribbon through the top link.

Lay the ribbon to one side, wrap one over the other and pull through the link.

Continue around the bracelet.

This next one is the same except only use one side of the ribbon around the bracelet. I also left room on the end to make a ribbon tie.

This next one is a little more tricky, I call it the figure 8.

Leave ribbon on the end for a tie.

Wrap through the link, pull under and over the bottom part of the link, then go through the next link. Continue to the end.
