Life During a Break (Or the One With the Miracle)

And I’m back!

Things I learned/did during a blogging break:

*Your life becomes instantly more funny and “blog worthy”.

*Your students become more funny.

My favorite story from last week is affectingly named  The Banana from Heaven Story.

During afternoon snack the bambinos are allowed to eat from their lunchboxes at their tables. When it was time to clean up, a sweet child handed me a banana. What? Where did this come from? Who’s banana is this?

No one would claim the crazy thing. I quizzed everyone.

Bananas don’t just fall from the sky guys, who’s banana is this?

*Crickets*

IT’S A MIRACLE!

Someone call the newspaper we’ve got bananas appearing  from nowhere in Miss Schultz’s room.

So now during any cleanup time, some smarty pants always says, “Miss Schultz, I didn’t make this mess it fell from the sky.”

Too smart for their own good, I tell ya. We’re in trouble.

*And yes, I did eat the miracle banana. Who would pass up a miracle banana!*
