Life with a Challenge (The One Where I Play Catch Up)

Alright, I don’t know what happened, but somehow I feel behind on Sar’s 15 Day Challenge.

Seeing how today’s the last day, here are the last few prompts!

Day 12: What are you most looking forward to in the next six months?

I love this time of year! My favorite thing is decorating my classroom with anticipation of all my new students. I love watching the school supplies come out on the shelves. (Um, wal-mart already has there’s out!)

I’m also ridiculously excited for fall and Christmas. This is when I entertain the most.

Day 13: List your favorite song, quote, food, vacation spot, photo

I HATE picking favorites. If you’ve been my friend for long enough, you know I’d rather pick my least favorite thing! I have a whole theory behind this phenomenon that I should share some time!

Song: It’s nearly impossible for me to pick just one song. However, one song I could listen to on repeat and probably never get tired of is Romans by The Pool Boys (pretty sure they aren’t a band anymore, therefore they are ungoogable)

Quote: Currently my favorite Bible Verse is Romans 12:12

Food: I’m out of control obsessed with Mexican food. I could eat it morning, noon, and night. I swear I wouldn’t get sick of it either!

Vacation Spot: I feel in love with Venice ten years ago when I was traveling through Europe. It will be my life’s mission to go back one day!

This is one of the last pictures taken of my sweet Grandma. It captures her zest for life so fully.

Day 14: If you were only allowed to watch one movie for the rest of you life, what would it be and why?

Um, can I pick three movies? It’s a trilogy, does that count as one?

If you’ve known me for any length of time, you’ll known my deep love and admiration for Anne of Green Gables. I could and do watch these movies often. I even have them on VHS.

Anne is a character that has stood the test of time. Passed down from generation to generation. I’ve read the first book to my kindergarten students and laughed right along with them while we watched Anne smash her slate over Gilbert’s head. There’s something so pure and insistent about the time period.

Day 15: What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?

I get different variation of “You’re so cute” “You dress so nice” over and over.

Not even joking, last week I walked into the Coach outlet store (yes, I bought an adorable purse!) and THREE employees told me how cute/adorable my shirt was. I’ve even had employees in clothing stores stop me and tell me that they “love my style”. Because I get this all the time, I’ve kinda made it my cause to tell other people when they look nice. Especially people that I don’t know. I know how excited and happy it makes me feel when strangers say something to me, it must do the same for others.

And for the record, when I wear something that I think is cute and NO ONE says anything to me, I wonder what I did wrong!

Thanks Sar for this fun link up!

Get ready for some Texas trip posts this week!
